ABOUT MY ART - an overview

My works are generally inspired by the phenomenon of surfaces;

By the collective and social erosion of the individual, and the light of the masses. By the staging of the ego and its contradictory contrasts. By a fragile armor, a membrane to confront a world made of the same material, yet permeated with an unrecognizable hardness. By the search for justification of one’s existence amid acceleration, while the hands of gravity watch over. And ultimately, by the loss of one’s surface, one’s exoskeleton, and the ability to fly.

The works also explore feelings of isolation and anonymity, as the tension between these and points of contact caught on the surface reveals an honesty that deeply fascinates me. I see this as an urgently relevant dialogue for our societal culture today.

Furthermore, threads are drawn throughout the works from my other areas of interest, each in their own context - such as humanity, drives/needs, relationships, technology, communication, culture, and consciousness.
